I'm ready for the football season to begin. I've loved football with a passion that burns like a thousand suns for a few seasons now, but my obsession really grew when I was able to go to the Kansas City/Colts playoff game where the Colts came back from 24 (or 28, I can't remember now) points down to win by one point.
On to the draft. I know a LOT of people have been watching and waiting to see where Johnny "Football" Manziel would end up, and I have to say it was a little humorous watching him sit there, downing bottle after bottle of water, waiting for his name to be called. He was finally picked 22nd in the first round by Cleveland. I don't think he looked too thrilled to end up there, but maybe he'll be the quarterback the Browns need. I don't follow college ball (yet, haha) so I don't know much about him, other than he seems to be really hyped up.
Jadeveon Clowney went first overall to the Houston Texans. Once again, I don't follow college ball so I'm not familiar with his performance or what kind of person he is off the field. I think I'm gonna need to start watching college ball if I'm going to watch the draft, otherwise I'm going to continue to be clueless.
You can find a full rundown of the first round here. What did you think of Johnny Football's reaction to being drafted by Cleveland? Are you happy with who your team drafted? My team doesn't have a first round pick, we traded it for Trent Richardson.... who hasn't really paid off just yet.

2014 Lineups!!
Today, the 32 teams of the NFL announced their 2014 lineups. I'm excited about some of my team's match ups and have already started plotting how to procure tickets to a couple of muse see games. You can find a complete list of the season match ups here, the NFL has it arranged by week rather than by team.
What big match ups are you looking most forward to? Planning on attending any games?

Harvin a Go for Super Bowl
I checked my phone in a moment of down time at work tonight and saw a notification from the NFL app. The Seahawks will have a great offensive player back. How much of a difference do you think he'll make to the game? Will the Broncos D have an answer for him?

A Quick Introduction
I realize that a week and a half before the Super Bowl is a terrible time to start up a football related blog. There won't be any games to talk about for seven-ish months and the draft is still a while away. I will be posting my thoughts and predictions on the Super Bowl closer to the game. For now, I just want to introduce myself.
My name is Elizabeth, I'm a mother of two awesome boys, wife to the best guy ever, and an avid football fan. My team is the Indianapolis Colts, but I will always have a spot in my heart for Peyton Manning so I also root for the Denver Broncos (when this doesn't interfere with my Colts) I went from a typical chick who hated football and dreaded Sundays to a chick who took part in two fantasy leagues and the fantasy playoff challenge. I watch all the games that air on local stations on Sundays, I catch every Monday and Thursday game my work schedule allows, and I follow the games I don't get to watch on my phone. I recently attended my first live NFL game on Jan. 4th. My birthday is Jan. 6ht, so my mom bought my husband and I tickets to the Chiefs/Colts match up. In case you missed that one, the Colts trailed 38-10 early in the 3rd quarter, only to stage one of the most epic comebacks in NFL history and win 45-44. Along with my insane love of football comes my insane love of makeup. I have more makeup than I could wear in a lifetime, yet I keep buying more. I also love to run and hike, photography, and travel.
Anyway, I think that about sums me up. I'll be posting in the next week or so with my thoughts on the Super Bowl and who I think is gonna take home the Lombardi Trophy.
